Being that the play is about math I decided to go with 12 tone technique.  This gives the composition rather an atonal sound.  Twelve tone technique is a composing style that requires that each note of the 12 tone scale be used in a set sequence starting on any note of the sequence.  The notes are usually placed in a grid as follows and then any line can be used forward or backward.  It’s a mathematical structure.  Most people who saw the play instantly recognized the 12 tone structure, however one person who reviewed the play made it obvious from his comments that he was unschooled in this style.
